Alireza Jafarzadeh

Deputy Director

Alireza Jafarzadeh is the Deputy Director of the U.S. office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI-US), the author of The Iran Threat (Palgrave MacMillan; New York 2008), and a TEDx speaker.

Jafarzadeh, an Iranian policy expert, has been instrumental in efforts to prevent the Iranian regime from acquiring nuclear weapons. He gained prominence in August 2002 for revealing the nuclear site in Natanz, prompting the first inspections of Iranian nuclear sites by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). His ongoing efforts have brought attention to illicit nuclear development sites within Iran, as well as Iran’s missile and drone programs, Tehran’s terror network, and the human rights abuses in the country.

Alireza Jafarzadeh has been an advocate for democracy, human rights, and women’s rights. As an accomplished analyst he has appeared frequently on major television, including Fox News, Fox Business, CNNCBS Evening News, MSNBC, C-Span, NewsMax TVBloomberg TV, OAN TV, LiveNowFox, ScrippsNews TV, SkyNews, FoxNewsRadio, France 24AP TV, and, Fox&Friends.

He has spoken at the U.S. Congress, the United Nations, TEDx, and the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

 

Jafarzadeh earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, and his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas, in Austin. Prior to moving to the United States, he studied at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran.
